June 1988:  Graduated from Roosevelt High School, which is located in Portland, Oregon without a scholarship.

August 1988:  Accepted invite to attend Chemeketa Community College located in Salem, Oregon.  Made the team.

June 1989:  Drafted in the 10th round out of Chemeketa Community College as a shortstop.  Did not sign.  Follow-up draftee status.
